Albert Hammond Jr. plays guitar in the wildly influential NYC rock band The Strokes.
The Strokes are one of the most influential NYC rock bands of all time. Along with his four other bandmates, Albert Hammond Jr. helped create a sound and a look that inspired countless bands since they released their flawless debut album Is This It in 2001. They always somehow gravitate back together to record another Strokes album. This week, Albert sits down to discuss the challenges of being a solo artist, his relationship with fame, and how surfing has taught him to appreciate being in the moment.
